Relaxshoe, a company always attentive to the environment, chooses Carbonsink as a partner for its climate strategy, a consulting firm specialized in decarbonization strategies and climate risk management for businesses.

By purchasing certified carbon credits, Relaxshoe supports international mitigation projects that can offset the emissions associated with its activities and contribute to improving the living conditions of local communities.

The two projects supported in 2021 and the new project of 2022, which consists of the installation of 300 turbines to generate renewable wind energy in the State of Tamil Nadu in India, allow Relaxshoe to contribute to achieving some of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs, in Italian Obiettivi di Sviluppo Sostenibile).
Their inception dates back to 2015 and is well explained on the official website dedicated to them. These are common goals set by the international community (all 193 UN member countries) to promote the sustainable development of the planet.
There are 17, articulated in 169 specific “targets” to be achieved by 2030. They belong to all countries and all individuals in the world and have been adopted by all those involved in “development” in a broad sense: development cooperation, but also the development of their communities, economic and social development, and environmental sustainability.

1. SULOGLU WIND POWER PLANT, TURKEY > RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT IN TURKEY – GS493

Thanks to the construction of a wind farm in the Süleoğlu District in Turkey, the project helps accelerate the growth of the wind sector and stimulate the production of renewable energy technologies in the country. In addition to the goal of mitigating climate change through a significant reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, the project was designed to provide a social and economic contribution to the region.

2. NTAKATA MOUNTAINS REDD > NATURE-BASED SOLUTIONS PROJECT IN TANZANIA – VCS1897

The Ntakata REDD+ project was launched in May 2017 with the main goal of engaging and supporting local communities in protecting the forest reserves of their villages. This project contributes to wildlife habitat conservation, climate change mitigation by creating jobs and significant opportunities for some of the most remote villages in Tanzania.

3- Bundled Wind Power Project in Tamil Nadu, India – VCS1353
The main objective of the project is to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable development through the use of renewable energy; by improving national electricity availability, the project contributes to political goals of increasing the use of renewable sources.
